NetherGaming & Anime IRC Servers

Welcome to NetherGaming & Anime's IRC section. On our network, we maintain two servers, one that is open to all, and one that is for members of the Realm of Anannsul Forum and www.anannsul.com. Before joining these servers, we would like to request that you read up on our guidelines, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the use of this server to the fullest.

IRC Guidelines

Primary IRC Server (Open)

Alternative IRC Server (Realm of Anannsul and www.anannsul.com)

If you do not like the web-interface because of it's limited access to the server and its functions and wish to switch to mIRC (or a similar program), or are already an mIRC user, follow these steps to connect to the server.

1. Download mIRC from www.mirc.com. Those of you who already have the program you wish to use, obviously, need not follow this step.

2. Install the program.

3. The first time you run the program, it will bring up a connection options screen asking form some personal information. This information isn't required and if you feel the need to fill it in anyway, I suggest using false information, just for matters of security. The only information here that is important is the nickname, and alternative nickname, which will be the name that you connect to the server with. Your alternative nickname is connected to when your primary nickname is not available.

4. Now you will need to add the server to your list of available servers. To do this, expand the 'Connect' heading on the menu tree to the left of the options window and select 'Servers'

5. Choose to add a new server by clicking the 'Add' button.

6. Enter the following information, depending on the server you wish to connect to.

NetherGaming Primary Server
Description: NetherGaming Primary Server
Server Address: nethergaming.twilightparadox.com
Ports: 6666-6668
Group: NetherGaming

7. Click 'Ok' to finish the process and add the server. It should, now, be your actively selected server. If it isn't, then select it from the list of servers by server name or by group.

8. Click 'Connect to Server.' After a short delay, you should see the message text of the server scroll across your screen and then be tossed into the OOC channel (what rooms are called on IRC) called #NetherGaming. If you do not see this channel after connecting, you most likely aren't on the server and have did not verify that NetherGaming was your actively selected server.
